HISTORY GreenTree Software was approached by one of our favorite clients. We were asked to provide a system which would assist our client in meeting the requirements of their ISO 9002 certification. They needed a computerized system that would manage the creation of work orders, purchase orders, work tracking documents for the shop floor, and costing sheets to analyze efficiency. The system needed to be easy to use, expandable, and able to provide reports to management at any point in time. |

A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO LIBERTY

This is
GreenTree Software’s “Liberty” work order management
system. The system has been tested in the real world since 2002.
During that time features have been added, bugs have been fixed,
reports have been adjusted. “Liberty” is mature and
ready for public release, but that doesn't stop us from continuing
to add features and other improvements. Liberty is a completely web based application. This means that there is no software to install on individual WorkStations. Any employee with a web browser can use the application as long as they have been given permission by the administrator. This makes deployment very easy. GreenTree Software can deploy “Liberty” as a server based application on a company’s own networked server, or remotely on the Internet. |

Historically many manufacturing companies would quote on a contract, order the materials, schedule the labour, produce the products, and then hope they had made a profit at month-end. If there was a loss it was difficult to determine the cause of this. Conducting a proper cost analysis required hours of pouring over invoices and work orders which were often handwritten or faxed making the task of the manager very difficult. With GreenTree Software’s “Liberty” work order management system, the salespeople, the people entering the work orders, the people scheduling a work, the people recording the quality results and the manager running the reports all input their information through a web browser on their PC.
